Thorsten Nesch is a German author who lives in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada. 2008 Nesch's first novel Joyride Ost was nominated for Oldenburger Kinder- und Jugendbuchpreis and the Landshuter Jugendbuchpreis. 2012 the book won the Hans-im-Glück Award. We discuss his songwriting, early life in Germany, musical influences, creative process, author's voice, life experiences and work ethic.
